Job Summary
Manages the day-to-day support of the Operations department by the timely and accurate processing of car and train movement reporting. Manages and schedules the clerical workforce to maximize productivity and minimize costs. Ensures personal safety of assigned team and the safety of the Train and Engine crews and CSX Transportation (CSXT) communities through support of train accuracy.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety in daily work by conducting safety briefings, performing safety observations, and ensuring that all employees perform their duties with safety in mind.
- Monitor daily performance and productivity of clerical employees. Address any performance issues when necessary.
- Manage and schedule clerical workforce to maximize productivity and minimize costs. Ensure clerical payroll is accurately completed and approved.
- Provide support to the Mobile Rail Tool system. 5%
- Handle data discrepancy tasks submitted by the customer via ShipCSX and respond timely and accurately.
- Communicate with other railroads when cars delivered to CSX in error and follow process to charge the other road for the error delivery.
- Process work orders, interchanges, yarding, Car and Train errors, and Industrial Inventory Demurrage and Switching reporting that flow into the STEPS workflow tool or are sent via email from the field.
- Staff the Transportation Services desk at Net Ops 24/7, communicating with Sr. Leadership and working closely with Net Ops to address critical issues with a sense of urgency.
- Process diversion requests submitted by customers in a timely manner.
- Research and process CP/OG requests from the field, communicate with Business Systems when needed.
- Monitor Tableau dashboard for any Trains noted as a paperwork delay, research, root cause and communicate to Director. Monitor, research, and document any cars without billing and communicate to the field any failures. Identify opportunities and make recommendations to reduce manual work in the department, communicate opportunities to Managers and Director.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 or more years of experience in Operations/Logistics/Waybilling experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 2 or more years of experience in Participation in the CSX Clerical Professional Development Program or Associate Development Program
- 1 or more years of supervisory experience
