Day to Day
- Partner with Security Compliance leadership to ensure that new and existing processes are aligned with Security’s strategic vision
- Draft tactical plans to scope and enable new compliance requirements and drive conversations with Security leadership to enable their adoption
- Work closely with partner teams to implement and maintain effective controls across the org
- Serve as a point of escalation and handle complex issues that are highlighted through compliance processes (i.e. Control Monitoring, Observation Management, Audit delivery, etc.)
- Provide coaching and feedback to more junior members of the Security Compliance team
Responsibilities
- Global collaboration: Improve Indeed's control monitoring and audit delivery for ISO, SOC 2, and PCI by engaging and partnering with diverse teams worldwide.
- Develop scalable processes to respond to audits and monitor Security controls in partnership with Security and partners in Product and Engineering.
- Contribute to the Security Compliance team's long-term strategies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals through planning, measurement, and execution.
- Earn trust as a reliable partner, collaborating across Security, business, and junior team members to enable audit and compliance deliverables.
- Establish collaborative working relationships with other subject matter experts of the Security Team to inform auditable controls and the accompanying processes for providing evidence.
- Take a lead role in scoping new compliance requirements in a complex technical environment and build alignment around their adoption and rollout to enable Indeed to adapt and remain compliant in a dynamic regulatory environment
- Autonomously drive the execution of ad-hoc, high-impact, cross-functional projects as requested by Security Leadership.
Skills/Competencies
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security Governance or Compliance with relevant certifications preferred (CRISC, GCCC, CISSP, CISM, etc.)
- 2+ years in leading cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Proven interpersonal and experience working with leadership of teams across many geo-locations and business functions
- Demonstrated experience building a consensus across operational and technical business partners and influencing successful outcomes in alignment with business goals and priorities
- Exceptional communication: gather data, listen, dialogue effectively, negotiate, and manage conflict for successful resolution of tense situations.
- Excellent knowledge of common information security management frameworks, regulatory requirements and applicable standards such as: ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI, SOX, etc.
- Working experience in planning and project management with a passion to learn and explore scalable solutions to new problems
- Excellent knowledge of IT security practices: firewalls, network segmentation, asset and identity management, ensuring robust security measures and protection techniques.
