The Maintenance Technician will handle service and repairs for residential properties. This role is essential for efficient property operations and resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances: dishwashers, washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges.
- Service furnaces and A/C units (HVAC EPA Certification preferred).
- Read and follow work orders, accurately document time and materials.
- Use our tech system to review work orders, communicate with tenants, log work, and track maintenance status.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Manage time effectively and approach repairs with common sense.
- Handle emergency service calls on a rotational “on-call” schedule.
- Participate in apartment turnover process, complete punch-out lists and move-in ready checklists.
- Keep maintenance areas organized and stocked.
- Maintain professional, positive interactions with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
- Track receipts and expenses for projects and work orders.
- Follow company standards and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Provide input on developing company processes and have the opportunity for career growth.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Adapt to organizational changes and take on additional tasks as assigned.
- Contribute ideas to increase property revenue and minimize vacancies.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conduct business in accordance with company policies and all relevant laws.
Qualifications:
- Proven troubleshooting and repair skills in various maintenance areas.
- HVAC EPA Certification (preferred).
- Strong time management and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and lead.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.50 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
