The Maintenance Engineer III will be a valuable member of the Engineering department, responsible for everything from basic tasks to more skill-oriented maintenance duties as it pertains to maintaining the Resort facilities and supporting associate and guest needs. This will include responding to guest needs and department maintenance requests including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and kitchen equipment, and includes working with tools to fix, repair or maintain furniture, painting of Resort facilities and decor, and other assignments as requested. This role will also provide knowledge and expertise to Engineering associates on more complex tasks.
Essential Functions:
Respond to guest challenges and requests throughout the property, making necessary repairs and/or accommodating the guest’s needs.
Work with other departments to assist in performing repairs as requested.
Maintain all inspection and log sheets to guarantee preventative maintenance was completed.
Visually inspect and diagnose problems, making repairs as necessary or as instructed by supervisors.
Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job functions.
Report major repair items or items that cannot be repaired to supervisors.
Assist in the training of less experienced Engineering associates and provide knowledge and expertise on related topics.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer or the Director of Engineering.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of hospitality or residential maintenance experience required. Experience within multiples maintenance trades required.
Certificates or Licenses: Clean motor vehicle record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Highly interested in learning all maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, water chemistry, and natural gas properties as well as the related use of hand and power tools.
Previous experience in hospitality operations or resort/residential property operations, preferred.
AAbility to perform highly skilled work in multiple maintenance trades including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, water chemistry, and natural gas properties as well as the related use of hand and power tools.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations as necessary to perform job duties.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and push and pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds, carry objects up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk around the Resort property for the majority of the work period.
Ability to climb ladders and work at height up to 30 feet for extended periods.
Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals and respond in a polite and professional manner to all guest concerns and requests.

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time non-exempt position.
This position requires extensive time outdoors and around the entire property.
Actual hours may vary dependent on business need.
