Our Corporate office in Deerfield Beach is seeking a Medical RecordsSpecialist to assist with daily record management and distribution. The candidate will perform the following tasks:
- Compiles, verifies, types, and files medical records of hospital or other health care facility: Prepares folders and maintains records of new patients.
- Reviews medical records for completeness, assembles records into standard order, and files records in designated areas according to applicable alphabetic and numeric filing system.
- Locates and delivers medical records requested
- Operates computer to enter and retrieve data and type correspondence and reports.
- Release medical files to persons and agencies according to laws and regulations.
- Maintain quality and accurate records by following company procedures.
- Ensures all medical records are protected and kept confidential.
- Completes clerical duties including answering phones, responding to emails, and processing patient information.
- Answer incoming calls for queries regarding billing statements, medical records requests, and general information.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role.
- Advanced understanding of medical terminology and administration process.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of eClinical Works a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
