Summary: This position will assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in carrying out the goals and policies of the Finance, Accounting & Payroll (FAP) Department. Primary responsibilities will include providing a range of accounting support and coordination of projects in the department, including activities related to the maintenance of complete and accurate general ledger account reconciliation and reporting. Additional responsibilities include staying up to date on any changes to accounting or financial reporting guidelines and implementing those changes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assists the CFO in coordinating all accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely reporting of Bank’s financial statements and month-end closing process.
· Assists the CFO in developing, documenting, and maintaining the internal financial controls consistent with Bank policies and regulatory guidelines.
· Ensures accounting functions are in compliance with Bank policies and requirements of accounting principles (FASB), and applicable federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
· Serves as the department’s technical accounting resource including preparation of technical memos for external auditor and implementation of new accounting standards (ASUs).
· Assists the CFO in preparing the annual consolidated financial statements and related footnote disclosures.
· Assists the CFO in preparing and/or reviewing various regulatory filings, such as the Call Report and FR Y-9SP.
· Prepares the quarterly Allowance for Credit Loss Analysis, including a written narrative of the results.
· Prepares the quarterly Interest Rate Risk (IRR) Assumptions, including a written narrative of the IRR results.
· Assists the CFO in the preparation of the Bank’s annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
· Supports the accounting department in daily activities, including review and approval of financial transactions and account reconciliations such as offsite vault, correspondent bank accounts, transfers in process, and ACH settlement.
· Reviews and approves various departmental processes, such as accounts payable, fixed assets, securities accounting and prepaids for accuracy and completeness.
· Reviews the daily general ledger report to resolve discrepancies and explain variances.
· Plans and maintains an efficient accounting system, including all phases of the month-end close process. Prepares and coordinates with the accounting team all necessary adjusting journal entries, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
· Performs trend analysis on P&L accounts. Analytically review income and expense trends and communicate findings to the CFO.
· Reviews or prepares various reporting such as local agency, collateral maintenance, and property tax reporting.
· Maintains bond pre and post purchase analysis.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
