Our business (Christian Brothers Automotive) is looking for an individual who has solid experience in the independent repair industry and is excellent with customers and sales. Extensive experience sourcing parts, building estimates and collaborating with customers is required. Shop management experience is preferred but not required. Our hope is to find a candidate that has experience in a high volume independent shop (over $3.5M in annual sales). The right candidate will be humble and driven and ready to collaborate with a team of professionals who work hard and care deeply about customers and their colleagues. This position will pay in the range of $80k - $100k depending on qualifications. We are closed every weekend and on major holidays. Required Qualifications:
- Strong people skills & sales experience in the industry
- A background in customer service, sales, or administrative work
- Strong typing skills and excellent communication skills
- Comfortable navigating new and changing technology
- Character of strong integrity and trustworthiness
- Able to work in a fast pace and sometimes stressful environment, handling tasks that need to be completed under deadline with customers waiting
- Able to work well with others, often sacrificing personal preference for the betterment of the team
- Accept coaching and guidance and be willing to be held accountable for mistakes in an effort to grow and improve
Primary tasks will include:
- A high priority on hospitality & sales
- Answering phones & scheduling appointments
- Checking customers in and cashing customers out
- Clearing snow off vehicles, pulling vehicles in and out of the shop, preparing vehicles for pickup (including test drives)
- Administrative work such as receiving parts, accepting invoices, and ensuring accuracy
- Shuttling customers to and from the shop
- Keeping office items organized, stocked, and office area clean
- Auditing / editing inspection reports for technicians and preparing reports for our customers
- Building estimates based off technician findings
- Calling customers with service recommendations and seeking approval for needed work
- Perform basic vehicle checks and routine oil changes and help perform courtesy inspections on vehicles as needed (certified and experienced mechanic will perform the detailed inspection. Training will be provided on completing oil changes)
