Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our team at Home Instead. The Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and managing the schedules of our caregivers to ensure that our clients receive consistent, reliable care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a passion for helping others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for caregivers.
- Match caregivers with clients based on skills, experience, and client preferences.
- Communicate with clients and caregivers to confirm schedules and address any changes or issues.
- Handle emergency scheduling changes and last-minute cancellations.
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, hours worked, and client preferences.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure client needs are met and quality care is provided.
- Monitor and manage caregiver availability and time-off requests.
- Assist with the onboarding process of new caregivers, including training on scheduling procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and their families.
- Address any scheduling conflicts or concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in scheduling, staffing, or administrative roles, preferably in the home care or healthcare industry.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and efficiency.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards seniors and their families.
