Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their speech and language abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop integrated care plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disorders
- Ability to assess and diagnose communication disorders in acute care settings
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
