Position Objective: The primary responsibility of the Relationship Manager is to oversee and provide advisory services to assigned Retirement Plan Clients. Relationship Managers are measured based on their ability to maintain a high level of client satisfaction and retention. Services provided include fiduciary and non-fiduciary services based on the Retirement Plan Advisory Agreement for each client. Service includes but not limited to; Investment Advisory Services [Fiduciary], assistance with Plan Governance and committee education, assistance with Plan Fiduciaries vendor management (Service Provider Selection/Review), Investment education for Plan fiduciaries, and Employee education and communication.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Assistance with Plan Governance and Committee education:
- Determining Plan Objectives and Options Available Through the Plan
- Reviewing Retirement Plan Committee Structure and Requirements
- Reviewing Participant Education and Communication Strategy, Including ERISA 404(c) Requirements
- Coordinating and Reconciling Participant Disclosures under ERISA Rule 404(a)
- Developing Requirements for Responding to Participant Requests for Additional Information
- Developing and Maintaining a Fiduciary Audit File
- Attending Periodic Meetings with Plan Committee
Assistance with Plan Fiduciaries’ Vendor Management (Service Provider Selection/Review):
- Reviewing Fees and Services
- Providing Periodic Benchmarking of Fees and Services to Assist Review for Reasonableness
- Reviewing ERISA Spending Accounts or Plan Expense Recapture Accounts (PERAs)
- Generating and Evaluating Service Provider Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and/or Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Support with Contract Negotiations
- Service Provider Transition and/or Plan Conversion
Investment Education for Plan Fiduciaries:
- Investment Policy Statements
- Assessment of Overall Investment Structure of Plan (i.e., types and number of asset classes, model portfolios, etc.)
- Review of the Plan’s Investment Options o
- Review of Qualified Designated Investment Alternatives (QDIA)
Employee Investment Education and Communication:
- Providing Group Enrollment and Investment Education Meetings
- Supporting Individual Participant Questions
- Providing Periodic Updates, Upon Request or Newsletter
- Assisting Participants with Retirement Readiness
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited university
Job Description:
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in the Retirement Plan industry is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Relationship Manager is preferred.
- Proven verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superb computer skills, including facility with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Detail oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
- Comfortable working with all levels of management.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
