We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Document Control Specialist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing all aspects of our quality documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, BRCGS, Organic, and internal quality procedures.
Document Management:
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date document control system for food quality-related documents.
- Review, edit, and format documents to ensure consistency and compliance with established standards.
- Track revisions and updates to documents, maintaining version control.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay current with relevant food safety and quality regulations to ensure documentation compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain the management of systems.
Audit Support:
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely access to required documentation.
- Ensure all quality-related documents are readily available for inspection.
Customer Support:
- Filling out and maintain customer supplier requested documents.
Supplier Management:
- Keeping annual supplier maintenance documents current (ie. Certificates (Organic, GFSI, FDA-FSMA, Halal, and Kosher)).
- Working with Supply Chain to obtain any new supplier documents.
Process Improvement/Collaboration:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the document control system.
- Collaborate with team members to implement enhancements and streamline workflows.
- Engage in cross-functional teams for continuous improvement initiatives.
Training and Communication:
- Train staff on document control procedures and standards.
- Facilitate communication between departments to ensure accurate and timely document submissions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in document control within the food industry.
- Familiarity with food safety and quality management systems (BRCGS, SQF, Organic, FDA, and HACCP, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Highly proficient in document control software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) Adobe PDF editor and creator.
