Job Title: Author assistant/manager for an author
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and creative Author assistant/manager to join our team. As an Author assistant/manager, you will be responsible for crafting engaging and captivating written content across various genres. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines. As a manager, you will also be responsible for setting up book signings, events, etc., for the author—book sales and tracking, social media, blogs, apps, applications, websites, and more. Willing to travel on business trips.
Duties:
- Develop compelling storylines and characters for books, articles, or other written materials
- Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and credibility in written work
- Edit and revise drafts to improve clarity, structure, and overall quality of content
- Collaborate with editors, publishers, and other team members to refine written pieces
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in writing and publishing
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Author assistant/manager or similar role
- Strong writing skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or related field
Preferred Skills:
- Team management experience
