We have an immediate opening for an experienced and dedicated full-time Medical Assistant to join the Clinical Support team at our Fairfax, VA office. The schedule is Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
How You'll Contribute:
We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Medical Assistant is responsible for:
Phlebotomy
Document patient care services utilizing daily logs and patient records
Manage medical records
Manage Patient Portal
Do injections on patients
Manage communication and treatment compliance with patients
Manage allergy shots process
Assist in refilling prescription requests and prior authorizations
Manage medical supplies for the office
Assist practitioner
Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
Assists with the clinical care of patients
Provides patient/couple counseling, communicates physician orders and instructions
Works independently
Support and promote excellence in customer service
Scribe
What You'll Bring:
Strong phlebotomy skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
Completion of a formal MA program
Background in allergy and immunology preferred
Strong patient orientation and be a team player
Professionalism and strong customer service skills is a must
Important: May require travel to our multiple locations across the DMV.
