Essential Functions of Role:
This is “hands on” non production operation role.

Meeting USDA, HACCP, GMFP, and Company standards, and under the supervision of a Controls Maintenance Manager the functions of this role are to be responsible for evaluating performance, implementing solutions, creating detailed plans to address department goals.

Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supervising electrical control systems for machinery and equipment.

Work with Management on creating and Implementing cost savings solutions
-
Provide electrical and programming troubleshooting support for all plant equipment and processes.
-
Work with Training and Management on continuous education initiatives
-
ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
-
Assist all personnel with electrical and equipment troubleshooting as needed.
-
Perform and assist in PLC programming and maintaining files.
-
Design and develop HMI system.
-
Manage and assist with all controls documentation.
-
Help build and wire equipment panels, as necessary.
-
Manage assigned projects from start to finish.
-
Manage and assist with SOP documentation on various plant equipment and processes.
-
Assist Refrigeration Specialists as required.
-
Participation in HAZMAT.
-
4 Years PLC and HMI programming experience. ( RSlogix 500, RSlogix 5000, FactoryTalk View ME & SE, PanelView & PanelView +)

Electrical troubleshooting with PLC and VFD experience.

Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical
-
Good verbal and written communication skills.
-
Advanced computer skills.
-
Ability to solve computer system problems in a server environment.
-
VB Programming, a plus.
-
Licensed Electrician or in the process of acquiring license, a plus
-
TIG welds stainless steel to “food grade” standards, a plus.

Must be able to physically perform the essential functions of the role as outlined.

Must be able to twist, bend, reach, and stand for 8 hours or the duration of the shift, in a wet cold environment.

Must be able to utilize a computer, telephone, facsimile, and other office equipment for up to 8 hours per day

Ability to sit, stand for the duration of the shift

Must be able to get underneath or mount equipment ranging from below grade (below floor level) up to 17 feet and in a confined space of 2’x 2’or larger to perform repairs and inspections (i.e., Stunner, IO Bird washer, elevated drives, Rotomatic, Tumbler, etc.).

Must be able to work at heights of 17’ to repair & / or inspect equipment.

Must be able to physically perform continuous equipment repairs in a wet, slippery environment for up to 10-12 hours per day.

Must be able to physically perform equipment repairs in a slippery/uneven environment which includes but is not limited to sloped flooring, pitched flooring, steps throughout work areas, etc.

Must be able to lift, tighten (“torque”) equipment up to approximately 70 pounds.

Must be able to safely & efficiently make machine repairs in a seriously demanding, challenging, fast-paced, high pressure and tense atmosphere.
