Overview:
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will apply your critical analytical skills, business acumen and an understanding of technical systems to analyze and document business requirements for a technically diverse team. Karsun offers a portfolio of Enterprise Modernization services to both civilian and defense Federal agencies. Karsun’s list of strong clientele includes U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. General Services Administration, and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate product discovery sessions with the product managers/product owners and business end users to gather detailed business requirements for new products

Solicit, understand and capture business processes to generate system requirements

Analyze and document business requirements in the form of epics, stories and acceptance criteria in JIRA for both business and technical audiences

Define & document acceptance criteria for user stories in a given-when-then format

Produce meeting minutes and summarize key decisions points at conclusion of discussions

Collaborate with Product Management and Agile development teams to communicate detailed product requirements for development

Create business process workflows and any other artifacts required as needed

Work with technical visionaries to document implementation steps and other deliverables
Qualifications and Education:
Required:
-
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, IT Management, or other related degree.

8-10 years of experience with technical and business requirements gathering process

Ability to work collaboratively with architecture, development and test teams to interpret requirements

Ability to efficiently support multiple simultaneous work streams, including projects and program initiatives, and prioritize, manage, and execute effectively with compressed time lines and ambiguous tasking

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Agility to adapt to changing priorities and direction

Excellent communication (both verbally and writing) and presentation skills

Experience with Agile development methodologies

Experience with collaboration tools such as JIRA, Rally, Mural

The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Suitability/Public Trust clearance
Desired:

Highly prefer candidates in the eastern, central or mountain time zones

Experience in web design usability testing and ability to synthesize test findings

Compensation:
In accordance with pay transparency guidelines, the proposed salary range for this position is $115,000 to $145,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors such as relevant skills, experience and certifications.
