Claims Coordinator

We are a growing software company looking to add a Claims Coordinator to our team. We provide cloud-based software and services to health care plans serving older adults and persons with disabilities – from small nonprofits to large government agencies. The Role
The Claims Coordinator is responsible for; coordinating with outside vendors, paying claims and submission of enrollments, compliance files using our proprietary tools. Most important in this role is BEING ORGANIZED and EXQUISITE ATTENTION TO DETAIL. The right person will take ownership of the processes and communicate clearly and proactively internally and externally and won’t hesitate to jump in to find solutions wherever needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring accurate submissions of files on a recurring monthly schedule.
- Communicating with clients and their vendors to set up new entities in the tool and manage receipt and payment of their invoices.
- Verifying timely entering of claims, claim verification and adjudication, and overseeing check runs.
- Documenting any issues for our development team (including tracking those issues to resolution and checking to make sure the system works as intended).
- Refining and documenting processes as they evolve
- Takes responsibility for completion of core processes
Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional organization and time management; able to prioritize a large volume of work effectively and efficiently with tight deadlines
- Documentation of processes
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong logic and ability to analyze process and and monitor and optimize workflows
- Building relationships with clients
- Monitoring data entry quality and productivity
- Google Suite and desire and ability to quickly learn office tools
- Experience processing medical claims
- Flexibility to embrace change enthusiastically

Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree not required
- Billing experience strongly preferred
