The Panther Group is seeking a Direct Hire VP, VP IT Operations & Development with one of our partners, a credit union located in New York, NY. This role requires a Mastery of Jack Henry systems and third-party applications such as Symitar. This role is hybrid (3 days a week in office).

VP IT Operations & Development
Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage all aspects of IT operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning, high system availability, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Provide leadership and direction to IT operations and development teams, creating a high-performance environment and service-oriented culture.
- Forecast resource needs, manage expenditures, and maximizing cost-efficiency, while considering the needs of core operations and development teams.
- Oversee vendor management creating strategic partnerships with key technology providers to ensure maximizing utilization of technology solutions, secure the best possible solutions and pricing.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process optimization, streamlining workflows, maximizing and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.
- Stay informed on emerging operational and software development technologies and industry best practices, continuously seeking new avenues to improve operational effectiveness and drive innovation.
- Adhere to development lifecycles and standards including business requirements, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and maintenance.
- Provide regular reports on IT performance metrics, resource utilization, budget adherence, and the effectiveness of key initiatives to management.
- Facilitate effective communication channels within the IT department and across other business units, ensuring that IT alignment and collaboration are optimized to support business goals.
- Develops and adheres to departmental budget.
- Ensures compliance with applicable company, state, and federal laws, statutes, and regulations, as appropriate.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computing, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Substantial demonstrated experience in IT, with successful track-record of leading and directing major, complex projects. Experience in the financial services industry is strongly preferred and given preference.
- Demonstrated success in planning, organizing, leading people and activities.
- Ability to motivate, direct, and coach staff.
- Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Mastery of Jack Henry systems and third-party applications such as Symitar & Microsoft Development platforms are a must.
- Ability to solve technical and operational problems.
- Excellent customer service and project management skills.

Targeted $175K-$225K DOE before bonus
