We are the only 4 star steakhouse in Moab and we need a leader to execute events. Must be detail orientated.
Experience with restaurant management and catering special events preferred but not necessary.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of and in conjunction with the Event Sales Manager and Food & Beverage Director, the Catering and Events Chef is responsible for providing team leadership of all aspects of food, setting, servicing, and customer service for all events/catering operations on and off premise.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- The supervision and scheduling of staff.
- Coordination of equipment management and assistance with the management of inventory and cost control of department resources
- Work with bar manager in the execution of beverage service for events
- Assist with the development and update of operation plans and procedural manuals
- Attend production walkthroughs with clients and Event Sales Manager
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Create order guides for food for each event
- Ensure all items are gathered for events and stage event sites as needed.
- Create event pack lists
- Recruit, hire, supervise, train, motivate, schedule and evaluate event staff
- Monitor catering set-ups are completed according to pre-established event plans
- Maintains sanitation and orderliness of the catering areas, including equipment, supplies and utensils
- Prepare and cook food for caterings and events
- Serve as Manager on Duty for the catering operation in the Event Sales Manager absence
- Maintain a high level of customer service for all events
