Host/Server
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
- Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Relay orders to the kitchen and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials
- Prepare dining area for guests, including setting tables and arranging decorations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables and sanitizing surfaces
- Process payments and operate cash register or POS system
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a host or server is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of OpenTable or other reservation management systems is a plus
- Familiarity with food handling, food service, and food safety practices
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong upselling abilities to increase sales and enhance the guest experience
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking and payment processing
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and operating a cash register or POS system
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
