Job Summary
We are an established contract cable and wire harness manufacturer based in Northwestern Illinois, and we need a skilled Account Manager/Salesperson to acquire and manage new client relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience manufacturing sales, as well as skills related to strategic analysis and marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for developing relationships with our clients, negotiating contracts and closing deals. This position will have physical office space but will work remotely the majority of the time.
Job Description
- Responsible for customer communications, conflicts resolution, and compliance on customer deliverables and revenue.
- Review all major deliverables to ensure quality standards and customer’s expectations are met.
- Ensures that customer issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing Upper Management of any problems that may arise.
- Responsible for contract and contract renewals for new work for an existing customer.
- Works closely with the project team to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project.
- Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and the projects are profitable.
- Remain aware and in pursuit of opportunities for account growth and new business.
- Communicate the customer’s goals and represent the customer’s interests to the team.
- Provide regular two-way communication between the customer and team, to provide strong team representation and proper customer expectations.
- Understanding of company capabilities and services, and effectively communicate all offerings to the customer.
- Visit customer locations as necessary to problem solve, communicate goals, or maintain positive relationships.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements
· College degree or 4 - 10 years’ experience in sales, business development, or related field.
· Ability to communicate in person clearly and effectively, over the phone and via email.
· Advanced ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Self-Motivated and goal oriented, with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Preferred Requirements
· Knowledge/experience selling to large industrial/commercial/public facilities.
· Experience networking with facility managers and business owners.
