Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Salary: $85k+ plus commission and bonus plans
Position summary: We are seeking a Virtual CIO (vCIO) to act as the trusted technology advisor for our Managed IT clients. This includes participating in new client on-boardings for assigned accounts, recommending appropriate products and services, compiling and leading regular technology business reviews, and providing strategic consultation and technology planning for small and medium-sized businesses. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience in system administration and/or tier 3 technical support along with consultative client-facing experience such as a vCIO, Technical Account Manager, or Sales Engineer role.
Key Responsibilities:
o Perform Network Discoveries with Sales Team, focusing on technical
understanding of prospects’ infrastructure and business/technology goals
o Prepare and present Findings & Recommendations documents for prospective
clients, highlighting areas of concern and strategic recommendations
- On-Boardings and Projects
o Outline major project tasks/components, including any risks or dependencies
o Accurately complete all new client documentation
o Act as senior technical resource to project team members when needed
o Conduct quarterly meetings with assigned accounts to identify and review business/technology initiatives, recommendations for additional projects and/or services, and act as the trusted technology advisor
o Follow-up on recommendations, issues, and business/technology initiatives as needed
- Effectively track all time, notes, and activities in ticketing system and CRM
- Communicate professionally and effectively internally and externally
- Perform product/solution research as required
- Work with other team members to recommend long-term solutions to solve recurring or frequent issues
Requirements:
- 4-6 years’ experience in system administration and/or tier 3 technical support
- 1-2 years’ experience in a client-facing technology sales or consultative role (i.e. vCIO, Technical Account Manager, or Sales Engineer)
- Self-motivated, responsible, organized, detail oriented, quick learner, team player
- Uses active listening skills; able to read, analyze, create and interpret general business documents. Speaks clearly and professionally. Able to write informative reports. Able to express oneself clearly in conversations and interactions with others.
- Must be able to perform work after hours and on weekends as necessary
- Must be able to travel on-site to client locations within DMV area; reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- You will be required to lift equipment up to 50 lbs on occasion
- Successful candidate will be required to show proof that s/he can legally work in the U.S.
