Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments to the dentist
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare and maintain dental equipment and supplies
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred
- Proficiency in dental assisting procedures, including scanning and taking impressions
- Familiarity with dental practice management systems (Dentrix)
- Ability to operate and maintain medical imaging equipment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Working schedule is Mon-Thursday from 8:30am-5:30pm and Fridays are alternated with the other assistants from 8:30-12:30pm.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
