Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to healthcare professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet patients.
- Answer phones
- Clean, prepare, and stock examination rooms prior to patients appointments.
- Update and maintain all digital patient records.
- Record patients information such as Medical history, vital signs, taking blood pressure, weight, height, etc..
- Perform simple tests such as: Rapid Strep Test, Flu test, Urine dipsticks, etc..
- Perform EKG's, administers Vitamin B shots, Kenalog shots, Testosterone injections, as well as administer immunizations
- Explain to patients some common procedures and assist our providers in minor ones.
- Work in front office and handles simple tasks such as: answering phones, scheduling patients, checking in and checking out patients, take payments, fax prescriptions, medical records, obtain prior authorizations for some medications and or Imaging tests, etc..
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols, regulations, and safety standards
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is required
- Proficiency in medical coding and terminology - Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Being a team player with a high sense of responsibility
- Must be able to cope with a large amount of patients and stress.
