Set Solutions, a Trace3 company, are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Helpdesk Technician to join our client on a part-time basis. This role involves providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring efficient and effective resolution of IT-related problems.
This role is NOT with Trace3, but a valued client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for IT issues, including software, hardware, and network troubleshooting
- Respond to support requests via phone, email, and in-person within established timeframes
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system
- Educate and support users on software applications, system features, and best practices
- Collaborate with IT team members to address and resolve complex issues
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as software updates and backups
- Ensure compliance with company policies and IT best practices
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional IT certifications or coursework is a plus
- Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in a helpdesk environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts and troubleshooting
- Proficient in the use of common office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users effectively
- Strong customer service skills and a patient, empathetic approach to support
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability to work a part-time schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
