The Position:
Our firm is undergoing an exhilarating phase of growth, rapidly acquiring new clients and expanding our service offerings. To keep pace with this momentum, we're seeking a detail-oriented and self-driven individual to join our reporting team. In this pivotal role, you'll have the opportunity to build upon the solid foundation of our cutting-edge analytics and reporting platform.
Collaborating closely with our investment research, reporting, client service, and consulting teams, you'll play a crucial part in delivering a truly premium reporting experience that exceeds our clients' expectations. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to provide accurate, insightful, and timely information to our valued clients.
Furthermore, you'll take on the vital responsibility of ensuring data integrity across our systems, streamlining processes and integrating our various platforms to drive greater efficiencies firm-wide. Your efforts will contribute to a seamless flow of information, enabling us to operate with optimal effectiveness and agility. This person will report directly to the Principal / Director of Business Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate as the guardian of portfolio data integrity, calculating, verifying, and reconciling valuations, performance metrics, and cash flows across client portfolios; leverage custodial feeds, third-party tools, and account statements to ensure pinpoint accuracy
- Orchestrate daily reporting procedures with unwavering precision, ensuring timely and reliable insights
- Diligently collect and synthesize portfolio characteristics from myriad sources
- Proactively monitor system health and operational robustness across reporting platform
- Partner with team members to provide accurate data for various projects
- Document reporting procedures, establishing comprehensive knowledge repositories
- Conduct account-level reconciliations and root cause analyses, swiftly identifying and resolving errors
- Spearhead the integration of direct custodian feeds, proactively establishing and maintaining feeds
- Create tailored reports based on client-specific needs
- Forge strategic partnerships with data vendors, to enhance systems, and address data issues
- Serve as a vital liaison with external managers, ensuring timely and accurate performance updates
- Architect and maintain secure, user-friendly client portals in Tamarac Reporting
- Implement rigorous auditing protocols, routinely assessing data integrity reporting systems
- Drive continuous improvement by designing and implementing innovative workflows and processes
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree required with a preferred concentration in a quantitative or technical discipline
- Well-organized and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Highly attentive to detail and accuracy while maintaining an organized approach to responsibilities
- CIPM or CFA candidates are a plus
- Salesforce, Tamarac Reporting, Adobe, Canoe, and custodial portal experience are a plus
- Fundamental knowledge of capital markets, including private, public equity, and illiquid assets
- Proficient in Windows, MS Office Suite, and intermediate excel knowledge is required
- Comfortable with technology, software tools, and applications
- Understanding of performance reporting calculations and methodologies are a plus
- Knowledge of database concepts, and any type of programming are a plus
- Able to exercise sound judgment when solving and escalating problems
- Able to work collaboratively or independently
