Overview:
Join our team as a dedicated Resettlement Caseworker to make a meaningful impact on the lives of refugees and immigrants. As a Caseworker, you will play a crucial role in providing support, guidance, and interventions to promote the well-being of individuals facing various challenges.
Duties:
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and goals
- Develop and implement comprehensive action plans with short and long-term objectives
- Provide crisis intervention and management for clients in distress
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients towards positive change
- Document all client interactions and services provided accurately and promptly
Experience:
- Previous experience in social work or related field
- Proficiency in crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, conflict management, and crisis management
-Fluency in English, Dari, and/or Pashto is a plus
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
- Familiarity with social service providers in the local area is advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for documentation purposes
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse team including volunteers and interns
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently towards set goals
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
