Schenectady County is accepting applications for an Accountant at our Glendale Nursing Home Facility.
This position involves responsibility for independently maintaining a system of accounts in proper balance according to a legally prescribed system of accounts and for furnishing dependable financial statements and reports. The work may also involve the analysis and revision of accounting forms practices and procedures.
As a County employee incumbent will be eligible for NY State retirement, health, dental and vision insurance, 14 paid holidays and more.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State Registered college or university with a Master's Degree in Accounting; OR
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State Registered four year college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and one year of experience in accounting, auditing, municipal budgeting, financial grant management which shall have included tracking program expenses, claims preparation and accounts; OR
(C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

Pay: $60,928.00 - $72,168.00 per year
