Title: Secretary / Communications Coordinator
Purpose: The Church Secretary shall be a committed Christian who helps the congregation connect, grow, serve and go by providing clerical and communications support to the Lead Pastor, Financial Administrator and other members of the Leadership Team.

Responsible To: Lead Pastor
Hours: 25-30 hours, served Monday through Friday, with ½ hour lunch break.
Description of Duties:
- Clerical Responsibilities
- Serve as the communications coordinator for the congregation.
- Serve as “first face” of the congregation, greeting office guests and callers, taking messages, answering questions, etc.
- Serve as assistant to the Lead Pastor, coordinating schedules, correspondence, and communications.
- Provide clerical support for other members of church staff and preschool as directed by Lead Pastor
- Receive, organize and prepare information for worship bulletins, monthly newsletters and special church-wide mailings.
- Design and create content for social media account(s) and oversee digital media communications
- Sort and distribute all incoming correspondence for church staff.
- Office Management
- Equip and oversee a team of volunteer staff to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the church and church office.
- Act as primary congregational facilities scheduler, keeping Lead Pastor, Facilities Manager, and other staff informed of events, room usage, etc.
- Order supplies for the office and the larger church.
- Membership Secretary
- Using Planning Center, maintain updated records of Faith Church’s membership (electronic and permanent records of membership, attendance, baptisms, marriages, and deaths in the life of the congregation).
- Prepare membership transfers, new member tool kits, baptism certificates, wedding licenses, etc.
- Work alongside Lead Pastor and Financial Administrator to assist in preparation of Charge Conference and Annual reports.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
