We are seeking a temporary Finance Assistant to support our client's Finance Department in preparation for an upcoming audit. The main duties include reviewing accounts payable records, purchase orders, and other financial documents to ensure their completeness and accuracy. The role will also involve examining bank reconciliations and various financial records to verify compliance with audit requirements.
Compensation: Negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week, within the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Location: Onsite in Espanola, NM
Responsibilities:
- Review accounts payable records and purchase requisitions to ensure all necessary documentation is complete and signed off.
- Verify bank reconciliations and other financial statements for accuracy and compliance with audit standards
- Assist in organizing financial documents and preparing audit packets as required.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to address any discrepancies or issues identified during the audit preparation process.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling confidential documents.
Desire Profile
- Previous experience in finance, accounting, or audit preparation preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
