Research Senior Technician: Under the general supervision of molecular genetics faculty, duties include:
Prepares samples and performs laboratory experiments for cancer research
Executes planned research activities using observation, measurement and analytical techniques
Collects tissue and cell culture samples
Compiles results of laboratory work and prepares reports
Executes mouse husbandry and genotyping; maintains and organizes laboratory supplies/equipment
Ensures laboratory protocols and documentation are complete and up-to-date.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in a biological/health science or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic or practical knowledge in the conduct of biological/health science research is required.
Experience in a biological/health research capacity is strongly preferred. Requires successful completion of a background check.
Qualified candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
