RISCPoint is currently looking for a Human Resources Generalist. This individual will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible for overseeing and performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with all levels of management in setting priorities, driving values, and delivering business results. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy creation and implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.
Key Responsibilities-
Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
- Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, and objectives
- Help to build and maintain a strong organizational culture, and work to continuously improve the employee experience

Performs benefits administration and keeps records of benefit plans participation such as insurance and 401k plan, personnel transactions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and maintaining associate statistics

Implements and annually updates the compensation program; develops and rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget); analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary

Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures, to include routine re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, compliance and consistency

Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are compliant

Investigates incidents, when necessary, and advises management in appropriate resolution of associate relations issues to minimize risk of violating employment laws and regulations

Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers, to include writing and placing job postings; working with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducting reference checks; extending job offers; conducting new-employee orientations; monitoring employee relations counseling; conducting exit interviews

Maintains organizational charts and employee directory

Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed

Monitors and updates training plans for the company

Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and five years of human resource experience.

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or similar preferred.

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, able to communicate effectively to colleagues and managers.

Knowledge and/or experience with national and regional labor laws/regulations
