Title: Mathematics Instructor
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit. Pay range is low 50s, based on credentials.
Responsibilities: Central Maine Community College seeks an instructor in Mathematics. This is a full-time faculty position primarily responsible to teach 15 credit hours per semester and begins teaching responsibilities in the Fall 2024 semester. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching statistics, algebra-based, and calculus-based courses, and will teach a combination of day, evening and online classes. This position will also be responsible for curriculum development and student advising.
Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in mathematics, physics, or engineering (electrical, civil, or mechanical)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience teaching college-level mathematics
-
Strong background in college mathematics
-
Experience in a community college environment
-
Experience teaching in an online environment
-
Experience with Brightspace or other Learning Management Systems

Experience advising college-level students
-
Experience with program development
-
Experience teaching courses targeted toward students with mathematical needs
