We are an installation service provider supporting clients (such as Amazon) within the Material Handling, Fulfillment and Warehousing industry. Our On-site team leads work in varying stages of construction, throughout the United States performing a variety of general labor and specific trade work tasks. Many times, we support our clients specifically bridging gaps between specific trade work and vendors. Successful candidates will be energetic, dependable and enthusiastic.

Our team members must have competency in basic construction, with understanding in the use of basic hand tools and performing common trade work. This position requires the ability to maintain a positive attitude through variables of change, tight deadlines and at times high stress. Most importantly this position requires an aptitude towards our organizational success by fulfilling obligations to our customers with a high level of excellence, integrity and dedication to “do the right thing”!
Travel:
You must have the ability and be willing to travel up to 8 weeks at a time …no exceptions!
- This is a full-time position requiring long term travel within the United States. A typical project duration is 8-12 weeks long.
- We provide housing, out of state food per diem and travel to and from these projects.
- Depending on the location of projects, most of the time you will be rooming with other team members in hotels or other types of contract housing arrangements specific to budget and demographics.
- You will also be ride sharing with other team members using company provided transportation.
A Day in the Life of a On-Site Team Lead:
At the start of everyday a morning meeting and “stand-up” is conducted. This is when we review safety protocol also explaining the daily plan and operations as well as calling out any additional info pertinent to the day’s activities. As assignments are assigned to individuals, it is not uncommon for your assignments to be constantly re-evaluated and adjusted throughout the day, due to priority status changing regarding these job-related tasks.
Due to the fact that it will be part of your daily routine, a positive attitude toward change is a must!
You must be able to communicate effectively with your team and our customers while always maintaining and engagement of professionalism in a respectful manner, regardless of the circumstances.
Throughout your day you find yourself interacting and working alongside other trades and stakeholders so professional interaction along with job site courtesy is required with everyone.
Throughout your day you will be monitoring, supervising and overseeing additional labor
resources brought in using a temporary employment service, in order to support certain workloads. Our professional appearance and attitude towards these individuals are a must as well as a mindset of leading by example with professionalism. On average 12-20 temporary employees will be reporting to you for much of the project.
While working in our General Labor construction dept you will be required to wear, use and hold to our PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements. You are also responsible to maintain our corporate safety program also ensuring that any and all labor resources working for our company are also abiding by these requirements.
Some examples of “hands on” work responsibilities might include building office furniture,
applying “5S” floor taping around work zones, installing corkboard’s, whiteboards as well as information placards pertaining to the job site. You might also be moving materials and supplies regularly to different locations while working and coordinating with the individual in charge of maintaining inventory on the project. At times you might be this individual responsible for inventory management. A basic knowledge and understanding of hand tools used in building office furniture is needed as well as a general competency in assembly and putting things together. You may also be anchoring items to walls and concrete floors requiring and understanding in the tools and hardware used. You will also be installing computer type components requiring a level of excellence in ensuring that all cords, components and wires are cable managed cleanly presenting a “best appearance” installation. At times you will be unloading trucks of supplies loaded on pallets that are delivered to us daily for the first 3 to 4 weeks. Use of mechanical machinery would consist of a forklift and/or pallet jacks for unloading trucks and moving shipments and inventory. A scissor lift will be used on site at times to hang signs approximately 30 feet in the air. You will be required to train and hold operational certification which we will provide, in order to use this type of equipment.
Communication plays a big part in this role. You need to be able to communicate any impacts in completing a project or any related material deficiencies to the foreman asap, so that he can notify his Project manager with escalations needed to rectify and ensure projects are completed within the tight deadlines. We would like you to have strong computer skills and aptitude but at a bare minimum you must be able to effectively communicate through company provided Outlook email also understanding the basic use of Microsoft office suite tools (Word/Excel/PP) and PDF software.

Mechanically inclined, able to use basic hand and power tools
Ability to use a tape measure accurately and effectively
Ability to pull tape in long straight lines (5S floor tape application)
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Ability to operate a pallet jack
Ability to work long hours
Ability to work on knees using proper safety knee pads for ground level work
Ability to push, pull, or lift objects up to 50 pounds
Ability to work at heights in a scissors lift up to ~ 40 feet
