By joining the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet/Design Section as a Transportation Engineer II in Jefferson County, you will have the opportunity to manage and oversee activities of transportation projects with multiple phases and larger scope of work and review and approve transportation engineering documents.
Holders of the Transportation Engineer Supervisor position will complete tasks such as:
- Manage and oversee activities of engineering projects.
- Coordinate or design transportation projects.
- Interpret / Review requests for major repairs or projects and makes recommendations and estimations.
- Determines the proper expenditure of funds on various projects.
Holders of this job will obtain the following skills:
- Interpret and draft professional report and papers.
- Review request for major repairs.
- Study or survey bridges.
- Reviews and investigates complaints of property owners and local officials.
Desired candidates possess the following requisite skills or experience applicable to the position:
- Professional Engineer License.
- Experience in Design.
- Engineer experience.
