Hours:

- Monday to Friday: 5:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- Rotating Saturdays: 8 AM to 12 PM
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing.
- Current registration in the State of Illinois as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Minimum of 1 year recent clinical experience in a substance abuse clinic.
- Speaks, reads, and writes English fluently.
Experience/Training:
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervised AODA clinical setting is required.
- Experience in Opioid Treatment, Drug Awareness.
- Training in First Aid, CPR, Diversity, Record Keeping and Confidentiality, Infectious Disease Control, and Active Listening.
Job Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides skilled professional nursing care through educational preparation, possessing a distinct body of knowledge and skills. Responsible for the proper dispensing of Methadone and the preparation thereof. Maintains accurate dispensing records and controls the drug account. This involves the implementation of both the medical and nursing regimens under the supervision of the Medical Director and Nursing Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense Methadone according to Physician's orders, SOP, SAMHSA/CSAT, DEA, OASA Rules & Regulations, and Accreditation Standards.
- Assess patient conditions and needs through the collection of health data within 24 hours of admission.
- Contact the Physician for orders when the physician is not on site.
- Check all Intake Packages and lab reports for abnormal findings, recommendations, referral to Physician.
- Check all Mantoux Tests and refer to health facilities for abnormal findings.
- Provide First Aid/CPR for minor injuries or emergencies while on duty.
- Obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR Emergency Services Certificate.
- Record incident reports.
- Take vital signs when appropriate.
- Order Methadone and keep an accurate record of Methadone received and dispensed in a timely manner.
- Prepare Methadone and label take-home bottles.
- Dispense and record Methadone usage in a timely manner.
- Post Physician orders and make changes on medical logs per physician orders.
- Prepare weekly/daily accounting records.
- Check the Security System daily for accuracy.
- Ensure adequate supplies and functioning equipment to facilitate clinic needs.
- Adhere to the Policies and Procedures of the Organization, including Confidentiality, Safety, State & Federal Regulations, and Accreditation Standards.
- Develop sound working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, persons served, and outside parties.
- Represent the organization with a positive image and attend required meetings and presentations.
- Uphold the Organization Code of Conduct/Professional Code of Ethics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
