National Maintenance and Build Out Company handles commercial remodeling and building maintenance for a number of Fortune 500 clients nationwide. Our construction division runs remodels, build outs and facility turnovers for commercial properties throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.
A Construction Project Management Assistant must be diligent, detail oriented and able to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Applicants should display excellent communication skills, and be comfortable working with all levels of personnel, up to and including mangement. They should possess the ability to perform Customer Needs Assessments and Quality Standards Evaluations, as well as all other forms of customer service interaction. Applicants should have some experience with budgeting and scheduling projects, and maintain a high level of organization for all elements of the project, including all paperwork. The ability to effectively multi-task, problem solve and think critically are essential.
Applicants should have a functioning knowledge of basic Microsoft office programs, and the ability to learn industry specific software. While previous experience in the construction industry is preferred, all candidates must possess the willingness to learn and adapt to company and client specific processes and product knowledge.
PM Assistants will be expected to assist the Project Manger in all tasks. This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Preparing project proposals for clients
- Coordinating subcontractor walkthroughs
- Budgeting & SOV Proposals
- Vendor & Supplier Acquisition
- Scheduling & Personnel Allocation
Some travel may also be required, to support and assist the Project Manager on new and in-progress job sites. This can include meeting with subcontractors for site walkthroughs, site surveys and status reviews of working sites, meeting with local government inspectors for regulation inspections, and providing job supervision when necessary. PM Assistants may also be asked to travel to file and retrieve permit paperwork with local government officials.
This position is a living position, and will grow and change as the company expands. Candidates must possess the ability to improve and take on new and changing responsibilities over time.
