Assistant Principal Job Description
Reports to: Principal
Supervises: May coordinate and direct the activities of EC Staff/Upper School Staff/Lower School Staff depending on delegated role.
Job Goals: To ensure a quality and effective instructional program throughout the school.
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 Months, unless otherwise specified.
EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated utilizing the North Carolina Educator Effectiveness (NCEES) System for Principal/AP Rubric, in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS (*indicates minimal requirements):
- *Minimum Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from an accredited college or university
- *Minimum three years’ experience as an elementary and/or middle school administrator
- NC Principal’s License preferred
