Job Description: Electronic Lab Technician
The Electronic Lab Technician applies a broad working knowledge of Information Technology and electronics to a wide variety of assignments through the application of technical concepts, practices and procedures. Operates independently within a customer support team to repair electronic computing and communications equipment, software and/or peripherals. Works with general oversight on more complex assignments.
Essential Job Duties

Troubleshoots hardware, software, and/or operating problems.

Installs OS and updates applications on customer equipment.

Uses basic and specialized test equipment to diagnose, analyze and resolve errors.

Performs bench-level replacement and repair to sub-assembly/component level hardware.

Uses standard hand and power tools and technical manuals.

Sets up, assembles, installs, configures, reconfigures, modifies, moves and/or relocates hardware/software in the engineering lab for regular or special function use.

Maintains work order documentation and updates repair records in the database.

May troubleshoot related communications problems by applying a knowledge of wiring, standard cable connections and read blueprint/schematic/equipment drawings.
Preferred Education and Experience
Vocational, trade school, or military technical training or an associate degree in electrical, electronic or information technology, or equivalent work experience. 3-5 years progressively responsible experience, demonstrating familiarity with a broad range of electronic equipment.
Starting Salary: $28.00
