Overview
As a Solar Canvassing Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing a team of canvassers in promoting and selling solar energy solutions to residential customers. This role requires a blend of leadership, sales acumen, and strategic thinking to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of canvassers to effectively communicate the benefits of solar energy to potential customers.
- Lead generation metrics and team performance
- Maintain accurate records of canvassing activities.
- Develop and implement strategic canvassing plans to target high-potential areas and maximize lead generation.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and competitors’ activities to continuously improve canvassing strategies and tactics.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align canvassing efforts with overall business objectives.
- Motivate and inspire team members to achieve daily and weekly goals through coaching, feedback, and performance.
- Persistence is essential in field canvassing. You must be able to handle rejection.

- Strong leadership and people skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members effectively.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Experience in door-to-door sales is highly preferred.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving and decision making skills.
- Bilingual is a plus.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in direct sales, field marketing, or canvassing leadership roles preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
- Talking for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Physically able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
