Position Summary
Oversees the full scope of Human Resources. Directs staff in the areas of organizational structure, employment, compensation, employee database maintenance, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, orientation/training development, and policy/procedure development. Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of HR strategy. Oversees the development and monitoring of the human resources budget. Provides management support to staff, business units, and senior management as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Creating, filing and maintaining employees’ personnel, driver and confidential files
2. Assures New Hire Orientation documents are collected and check lists are complete
3. Assist in updating Human Resources forms as directed
4. Stay updated on labor laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance
5. Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws
6. Address employee relations issues while considering legal and regulatory implications
7. Investigate and resolve complaints or concerns related to compliance matters
8. Ensure that employees are aware of and understand company policies and procedures
9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to compliance activities
10. Maintains a clean and safe work environment and works harmoniously with team members
11. Assist in the new hire orientation to include explaining new hire forms (i.e., I-9s, personal information, tax forms, etc. to all participates in the new hire orientation training and ensures that documents are completed and collected
12. May assist with inputting employee information into the company HRIS and time clock systems
13. Assist with reminders and follow up on outstanding items such as health care paperwork and other documents not collected during the new hire orientation
14. Understands and complies with the following policies and procedures as described in new hire orientation, annual re-training programs, and any other policies or procedures as identified and deemed necessary:
o Sexual Harassment & Workplace Violence
o Work Injury Prevention
o Drug Free Workplace
o Company House & Safety Rules
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
2. Proven experience as an HR Generalist with a focus on compliance
3. Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Other Qualifications
· Strong written and verbal communication skills for policy development and employee training
· Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
· Ability to analyze complex situations and apply legal and ethical principles
· Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve compliance issues effectively
· Proficient computer skills; Microsoft office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and the ability to prioritize workload
· Maintains a friendly, positive, productive approach to work while balancing a heavy administrative workload
· Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment and maintain productivity standards
Work Hours
- Monday – Friday, business hours
- May require attending early morning meetings, working beyond normal hours, on the weekends and holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
