Overview
The Event Sales Associate is responsible for sales in the Wedding, Meetings, and Reunion segments. He or she is to exemplify our commitment to serve with passion, honesty, respect, and pride.
Achieve Our Core Goals
- Meet or exceed our monthly, quarterly and annual goals for Event Sales and Net Promoter Scores.
- Share responsibility for building ever-stronger relationships with our rental property owners and guests.
Responsibilities
- Achieve individual and team quotas outlined in the annual Total Compensation Plan.
- Promote and sell to the Wedding, Meetings and Reunion market segments including accommodations, food & beverage functions, recreational activities and off-premise services.
- Provide thorough, accurate and timely sales reports on the prescribed forms on a daily, weekly, quarterly and annual basis. Reports will include outgoing sales, sales revenue, and room nights.
- Obtain necessary skills for proficient use of the software including Resort Data Processing (RDP), Track, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Sales Force.
- After the sale is completed and contract is signed, assign the contract to an Event Planner.
- Assist, as needed, with other Event Sales Managers, the Event Planning, Food & Beverage, and Recreation Team Members in carrying out his/her tasks by providing accurate, detailed, and timely information in the agreed upon format.
- Attend pre-event meeting with the guest and Event Planner, to obtain approval on set-up of the banquet and meeting facilities, accept décor, and confirm event details.
- Understand and carry out our policies and procedures on room blocks, reservations, payments, cancellations, billing, collection, and purchasing.
- Maintain accurate, detailed files (electronic and paper) for existing and prospective guests.
- Maintain the cleanliness and “like-new” condition of all company property, under your control.
- Possess and maintain professional phone and interpersonal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Established strong interpersonal skills and a neat physical appearance.
- Enhanced ability to effectively manage time and meet sales quotas and deadlines by efficient utilization of the systems and tools provided.
- Proven experience in financial reporting.
- Has a passion for exceeding guest expectations.
- A strong hospitality background with directly related sales experience, 3 years minimum preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.80 - $22.51 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
