Job Overview
As a Compliance & Process Documentation Administrator within our engineering group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to functional safety, EMC, safety and environmental standards for Digital Electricity™ products. Your primary responsibilities will involve creating and maintaining compliance-related documentation, including processes & procedures. Additionally, you will support the engineering team by administering software tools to streamline processes, including requirements management. This role requires a strong attention to detail, familiarity with regulatory standards, and the ability to improve engineering processes through documentation and administration. In addition you will act as project manager for compliance documentation efforts. This role will be working alongside and as a support function to both the product development team and compliance engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product development and compliance engineering to create and maintain detailed compliance documentation for applicable standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all compliance-related documentation is complete, accurate, up-to-date, and filed appropriately for easy access and reference,
- Assist in the preparation of customer and regulatory compliance audits and provide documentation as requested by auditors
- Assist in documenting, maintaining, and improving engineering processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and work with the engineering team to document and implement improvements, aligning workflow and documentation
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between different departments to streamline workflows and improve overall efficiency
- Implement and utilize software tools to streamline processes such as project management, resource planning, requirements management, documentation management, etc
Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar experience
- Previous experience in a compliance, quality or documentation focused role within an engineering environment, preferably in the electronics industry.
- Proficiency in document management systems and software tools used for requirements management and process documentation
- Familiarity with product, safety, EMC, and environmental standards applicable to electronic products, including IEC 62368-1, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and functional safety standards such as IEC 61508.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and completeness in documentation.
- Project management experience within engineering or related fields including familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project & Clickup.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g. Kaizen, Lean) is a plus.
