Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Establish a warm, friendly, yet objective relationship with his/her class.
- Planning a flexible, daily program for the children.
- Obtaining approval of weekly lesson plans from the Director.
- Remaining in the center during assigned hours, unless assigned duties elsewhere.
- Determining supplies and equipment for the program and advising the Director in advance.
- Maintaining responsibility for all children in the group during on-duty hours.
- Maintaining the room in a neat, clean aesthetically pleasing manner, conducive to constructive play appropriate for each age group.
- Holding regular parent/teacher conferences when appropriate. At least twice annually.
- Attending and participating in parent/group meetings.
- Being responsible for submitting required personnel documents.
- Being responsible for completing State training requirements.
- Understanding and following State and local rules specific to childcare facilities.
- Maintaining the curriculum criteria set forth by Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County.
- Perform developmentally age appropriate screenings for each child in care, once at the beginning of the school year and one at the end of the school year.
- Complete at least 24 hours of in service training annually. At least 10 training hours need to cover curriculum for the age in which the teacher works.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
