Leading efforts to encourage incident reporting and investigation, you will drive initiatives to prevent future occurrences and cultivate an environment of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Capture, review, and classify patient safety variances for appropriate response.
- Enter variance specifics and conduct investigations to analyze actions and identify trends for future prevention.
- Provide information on occurrences with unanticipated clinical results to administration and legal counsel.
- Collaborate with legal and third-party insurers to resolve incidents.
- Coordinate disclosure of serious events to patients and families according to policy.
- Conduct root cause analysis when severity warrants.
- Assist in establishing resolution plans and settlement amounts for complaints/claims.
- Coordinate staff interviews, response to interrogatories, and staff deposition attendance.
- Manage reimbursement claims for lost or damaged personal items.
- Partner with supervisors to address patient concerns and ensure follow-up.

Salary:
- $61,048-$97,656- based on work history/experience
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) License, valid compact multistate license, or a temporary permit while awaiting licensure required.
- Knowledge of patient safety regulations and standards
- Experience working directly with physicians and healthcare providers
- Experience with electronic health records and documentation
