Job Purpose:
The Bookkeeper/Office Manager collaborates to assist the MMSC team with support for the administration and implementation of the statewide Main Street Program. Along with the bookkeeping responsibility for ledger management, account reconciliation, cash receipts processing, service invoicing, completing tax documents, paying invoices, and processing employee payroll and benefits packages.
Principle Responsibilities:
· Support office operations by maintaining office systems
· Assist State Director in maintaining staff efficiency
· Record and make deposits
· Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every account to ensure their accuracy
· Issue financial statements
· Oversee budget requirements for grants
· Oversee PayPal account/transactions made, deposited, and recorded
· Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
· Maintain a chart of accounts
· Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to the State Director
· Maintain the annual organizational budget and conference budget
· Comply with state and federal governmental reporting requirements
· Process payroll and benefits in a timely manner
· Tag and monitor fixed assets
· Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
· Pay on contracts as they come due for payment
· Oversee HR Employee Management System as instructed by State Director
· Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
· Provide clerical and administrative support to State Director as requested
Skills/Qualifications:
· The Bookkeeper/Office Manager candidate should have a minimum of an Associate’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration, or equivalent business experience, as well as a knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles. Candidate should have a high working knowledge of Quick Books, and preference will be given to candidates with non-profit accounting skills.
· Knowledge and experience of general office management best practices.

· Ability to prioritize, multi-task efficiently, and respond to a high volume of ongoing requests in a timely manner. Must be detail-oriented. Strong organizational skills are required.
· Must have strong computer skills and the ability to continually develop skills related to the use of rapidly changing technology and communications best practices.
· Basic project-organizational skills. Ability to collaborate and achieve results with moderate supervision.
· Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, including working effectively with frequent interruptions and handling changing and/or unscheduled tasks with accuracy.
· Regular and reliable attendance is required in office.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.64 - $26.44 per hour
