What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join the Texas team and contribute to a variety of Land Development, Site Design, Roadway/Transportation, and many more projects on our 2,500+ acre site.
What You’ll Do
-
Promote and protect Tesla’s reputation as a cutting-edge company producing the world’s most exciting cars and shifting the paradigm of personal transportation worldwide

Manage multiple projects throughout planning, design, bid, and construction phases

Define and plan project work scope, schedules, budget, and resource requirements

Independently develop high quality civil engineering products including construction document drawings, specifications, narratives, and calculations
-
Effectively and proactively communicate project needs, changes, and status to internal and external team members
-
Review drawings and proposals by vendors, engineers, and architects, and drive multi-disciplinary coordination
What You’ll Bring
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
-
3 - 5 years of hands-on experience building high-tech/industrial infrastructure and operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.)

Experience in civil engineering design, stormwater management plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), heavy civil, wastewater, and manufacturing

Operational construction Site development background with experience in design of roadway, grading, pavement, sewer, storm drainage, water, erosion and sediment control, and traffic plans
-
Proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design Ability to multi-task and adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and timelines

Ability to communicate clearly and interface at an executive level within a diverse team

Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion
-
Desire to do the impossible with a positive and professional "never say die" attitude

Demonstrates an "outside the box" problem solving approach; develop alternative and innovative design solutions
