Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Insurance Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling insurance policies to potential clients, analyzing clients' needs, and providing appropriate coverage options.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and develop sales strategies
- Sell various types of insurance policies to individuals and businesses
- Analyze clients' current insurance policies and suggest additions or changes
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain policy features, benefits, and premiums
- Administer benefits and claims in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Handle sales administration tasks such as preparing quotes, processing applications, and maintaining client records
- Conduct outside sales visits to meet with clients in person
- Calling potential new clients to pitch them on one or more type of coverage from your company.
- Interviewing potential clients who have expressed interest in buying insurance in order to collect relevant data about their financial status and existing coverage.
- Explaining the ins and outs of various policies to potential new customers and existing clients.
- Analyzing the policies held by current clients and determining suggested additions or changes to their coverage.
- Putting together custom insurance programs for individual clients whose needs don’t match prepackaged coverage options.
- Taking care of existing clients’ policy renewals.
- Maintaining and updating customer records.
- Helping policyholders settle their pending claims or sort out issues with their insurance
Experience:
- Proven experience in insurance sales or a related field
- Strong analytical skills to assess clients' needs and recommend appropriate coverage
- Familiarity with benefits administration and sales processes
- Knowledge of market trends and competitive offerings in the insurance industry
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and explain complex insurance concepts
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment with a focus on meeting targets
