Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To design, develop and supervise all aspects of control systems. This includes:
- PLC programming
- HMI software implementation
- Panel electrical design
- Instrumentation and equipment specification
- Start-up and technical support of PLC based hardware and software systems
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent education/training.
- MINIMUM 3-5 years of hands-on experience in controls engineering/project management for process manufacturers.
- Strong computer skills to include Office applications, CAD, SQL.
- Experience with Allen Bradley Logix platforms and Panelview HMIs
- Experience with SCADA programming (Wonderware InTouch preferred)
- Ability to design and troubleshoot various communication networks including RS485, ControlNet, DeviceNet and Ethernet
- Troubleshoot basic electric circuits including 480VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC circuits.
- Ability to setup basic instruments including flow meters, level sensor, pressure sensors, and conductivity meters
- Ability to work independently
- Very strong problem solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Communicate Effectively with a wide variety of people with differing skill sets
- Ability to understand complex processes and troubleshoot systems of Equipment from various manufacturers
- Ability to manage large projects and to manage support staff who may be assigned to such projects
- Experience with legacy Allen Bradley PLC’s including PLC 5, SLC’s and associated communication such as DH+
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be already authorized to work in the USA (no H1B or TN Visa Sponsorship is available)
Travel: Up to 50% travel required.
