What you will do...
In the role of Operator you will work in the manufacturing facility for Envision Outdoor Living Products LLC in Lamar, Missouri. You will utilize appropriate tools and resources in order to safely and efficiently produce quality decking and railing products.
Your typical day looks like...
· Following anti-tampering, cleanliness, and 5S processes in support of maintaining a safe work environment
· Promoting maximum productivity without sacrificing safety and quality
· Taking ownership of the process and encourage teamwork within own team and other shifts
· Following guidance and direction given from Shift Leads and Supervisors
· Performing quality checks within the acceptable quality standards (color, dimensions, appearance, etc.)
· Tracking process parameters and recording process data
· Timely and accurately recording material usage and finished goods counts
· Performing general maintenance while also working closely with the maintenance department to ensure compliance
· Following existing training plans and comply with all CITI and Safety Training requirements
· Adjusting and troubleshooting all primary functions and downstream equipment to optimize throughput and quality
· Effectively communicating process needs and improvements to Team Leaders, Supervisors, Managers, Engineers, and Technicians
· Using the proper chain of command in resolving any type of conflict or necessity
· Always working in a manner that exhibits a commitment to the Company’s core values
· Performing other duties that may or may not be included in the normal duties of this position
Note: This position works a 12 hour and rotating (day/night) shift schedule. Shift differential of additional $1.50/hour for night shift hours.
What you will bring to the role...
· HS Diploma or GED
· Min. of 1-3 months of related experience (preferred)
· Comprehensive working knowledge of compression processes
· Must have a continuous improvement mindset to support and cooperate in exceeding process goals
· Ability to perform simple math (addition, subtraction, division) calculating dollars, weight, volume, and distance
· Ability to follow instructions
· Ability to read and follow correspondence; ability to draft correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small groups (other employees, customers, etc.)
· Computer literacy when using e-mail and entering maintenance requests
· Must maintain Forklift Certification (administered by employer)
· Entry level position must be maintained for 6 months prior to applying for a Level II Operator; must be able to be proficient in one process: Compression, Extrusion, Co-Ex, Tam-Rail, Marial room or kitting (includes set-up for all components and following MES)
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
· While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear
· The employee is required to stand for most of the work shift
· The employee is often required to walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
· The work environment is manufacturing based. Noise levels may be moderate to high
· Employee may be exposed to fumes and particles
· Personal protective equipment is provided
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.19 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
