OVERVIEW
The Associate Network Operations Technologist provides basic level LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Voice design, administration, change planning, integration, and troubleshooting capabilities. The Associate Network Operations Technologist supports day to day communication technology initiatives, working with other Network Operations personnel to complete tasks as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
1. Initial resource for issues / situations within the Network Operations team.
2. Perform basic operational, troubleshooting, and administrative duties for a diverse portfolio of network and communication technologies. These duties include device configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
3. Administer basic phone system and video conference system configurations and functions.
4. Provision basic telecommunication circuits through vendor interaction and device configuration.
5. Assist with basic design tasks, architecture changes, or resource capacity issues while under the supervision of more senior Network Operations personnel.
6. Document the existing state of specific information communication technology solution configurations.
7. Work closely with more senior members of the Network Operations staff.
8. Provide evening and weekend system support as needed. Sheetz is open 24/7/365 and as such, our internal and external customers may require our system support at any time.
QUALIFICATIONS
(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered. Two years of experience is equivalent to one year of college/trade school)
Education
- A four-year degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering; or a four year degree in another field of study which includes courses in computer programming, systems analysis, system development, or systems engineering is preferred.
